Here at 4Player, we like to wait until after the year has ended to start Game of the Year discussions. Now that 2021 is officially over (thank god), it is time to reflect on and discuss the games that defined the last year for us as both a podcast and a community. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about our 2021 Game of the Year content and how you can participate.

The show will be split up into several smaller segments which will be edited and released as separate audio podcasts in the week that follows the live recording. Most categories will also include a winner as voted by the community (more details on this are below). The episode tends to run long but it’s always a fun time so we hope you will join us!
Top 10 Videos
As always, Staff who chose to participate will be releasing a dedicated Top 10 video in February that highlights their favorite games of the year. This year, we are currently expecting a total of 4 videos but that number could rise. Either way, expect these videos to drop in February. When they do, you will be able to find them here as well as on YouTube, Twitter, and in Discord.
2021 Year in Review
Once all of the Top 10 lists (including the community list), we will use our points system to determine 4Player’s overall Top 10 games of the year. That list will be featured on the front page as well as on our dedicated “Years in Review” page.
Community Involvement
Like last year, we want to hear from YOU as much as possible! We have prepared two forms (links below) that you can use to submit your own personal award nominees and Top 10 lists. Your submissions will influence every aspect of our Game of the Year content. We will announce the community winners at the end of each category on the awards show and we will post the full Community voted list here on 4PlayerNetwork.com alongside our own videos. (check out last year’s community list here)
Submit your personal Top 10 list - Please be sure to read through the instructions to learn how the point system works and what games qualify.
Submit your Award Nominations - Please be sure to read through the instructions. Additional explanation is also included next to each category.
We look forward to capping off another successful year of gaming and podcasting with the community! If you want to help spread the word, please share this link or retweet the link to this post! We’ll see you on the 27th to talk all things 2021!
