Even with all the talk and bluster about used games restrictions allowing more money to flow to the publisher, Microsoft has confirmed with Gamespot that new games published by Microsoft will continue to be $60.
Of course, there are still many unknowns here. Pricing for other publishers such as Activision and Electronic Arts have yet to be announced, but you can be sure we won't be seeing them stray below the accepted market price of $60. Their lecherous souls, and the corpse-like bubbling bodies of their shareholders would never allow it. Even with all the built-in restrictions on lending and sale inherent in the Xbox One. What was that about the benefit of publisher protections being felt by the consumer?
Yeah...didn't think so.
Of course the one ray of light -if you can call it that- is game prices aren't going up the same way they did last generation, as the fabled $70 price tag has yet to be seen. However I will say this. Every publisher and every console maker could put in hard restrictions that would kill used games forever...and you still wouldn't see game prices go down. Not now. Not ever. That money will go back to the publishers and -especially- the shareholders...or as they're otherwise known, the real customers.

Microsoft stated it will be up to publishers to provide the incentive to make their used game DRM worthwhile to the consumer: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/06/microsoft-defends-the-xbox-ones-licensing-used-game-policies/

I'm not even surprise, they're just greedy.
Btw... While you guys were there, have you seen or heard someone getting sent to this so called "Microsoft Jail" at E3?

Cynical reasons behind this or not, console games are expensive enough.
I just hope Sony match them and don't jack up their price now that Microsoft has set out it's stall.
PC gamers seem to have the best pricing options but with that comes little to no used games. Hopefully this console generation will see far more price points introduced, particularly with the expected greater emphasis on digital delivery.

If Microsoft realizes their mistake when this POS releases and fails harder then the Wii U, I bet they will try to be like the bad girlfriend and crawl on their hands and knees begging for us to take them back.
Not before you suck my gamer cock Microsoft, suck it long and suck it hard.

Is anyone really surprised. Its a console created for developers rather than consumers, of course they aren't going to cut us any breaks.
