Deep Silver -known for Dead Island and now the proud publishers of Saints Row and Metro- have announced 'Ride to Hell' a grindhouse-esque action game that's being released in three distinct, grindy, flavors.
Ride to Hell: Retribution is the full-fledged offering coming out on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. You play the role of Jake Conway, a man “on a merciless path of revenge against a brutal biker gang called The Devil’s Hand, armed to the teeth with an arsenal of deadly weapons to enact his vengeance on foot and on bike.” The trailer (blow) is all sorts of 1970's grindhouse flavor, with brutal death scenes and old camera filters galore. He also seems to like killing people using the “anything that is not normally considered a weapon” method. A serial killing Macgyver.
The second game in the series. Ride to Hell: Route 666 a downloadable title for XBLA, PSN and Steam, is described as having “Fast paced arcade combat” as players recruit and command gangs while they ride and fight their way from Chicago to Los Angeles.
And finally, Ride to Hell: Beatdown is the final game described as 'a rock’n’roll brawler' coming to the mobile space/iOS.
It's been a little while since we've had something of this particular flavor. And although the game Wet might have left a bad taste in our mouth but I'm going to try and keep it from sullying my fun here. The trailer does show a lot of uses of the environment -a'la PlayStation 2's Punisher game from 2005- so I'm hoping that makes it into the final form of the game.
Ride to Hell will be arriving on June 25th, 2013. Yeah, pretty soon.

I love Sons of Anarchy and I really wanted WET to be good but this screams low budget, rushed to shelves, shovelware. I hope i'm wrong. Also, it immediately lost credibility with its liberal use of the Bleeding Cowboy font. Graphic Designers will know what i'm talking about...

This game looks very generic and stupid but who knows I have been proven wrong before.

I'm getting less of a Full Throttle vibe after watching the trailer, but I'm still TOTALLY ON-BOARD!

This is exactly the kind of game you so called gamers need to put some cash behind wether its great or not. Brave publishers bringing titles to retail need our support and less negative BS, c'mon Nick I expect a little better from you.
