In the leadup to the full Battlefield 4 reveal next week -and probably to get in some shots before PAX East draws everyones attention- DICE has released both a promo image and a small teaser which looks to be taken directly from the full release trailer coming on the 26th.
The teaser was released via VINE, the twitter GIF/video service that allows people to upload short movies, on DICE's twitter account. It's just a short clip but there was one thing I noticed.
In the second shot of the clip you can hear the sound of deep underwater. Will Battlefield 4 be reintroducing sea battles? If you remember, in the older battlefield games the player could control the battleships on the map, and in 1942 there was even a player controlled submarine.
We'll know more next week, until then keep your eyes peeled.

Just FYI, Vine is not a GIF service, they are 6-second videos.

While I knew chances were low, I was really hoping that this would be the 2142 sequel I've been wanting for years.
Lets just hope this is a significant improvement over BF3.

I just hope it won't confuse my eyes like BF3 did. Seriously with all those blur effects, depth of field and blinding contrast it makes me motion sick and I can barely see anything during combat.
I just bought it too, wish I could play it like so many other people can =I

Naval battles would be a welcome reintroduction.
