Weekend! Looks like we're working our way through Dead Space 3 this weekend and finishing up the last bits of Ni No Kuni. Next week Aliens: Colonial Marines hits so make sure you check out New Release Tuesday next week to get a look at that. In the meantime...
Here's what we've been playing this weekend. What about you?
Nick Henderson: When I'm not head banging this weekend, I'm gonna be finishing up Dead Space 3. This game really has me torn. It's a worthy entry in the series for sure but it feels like it's missing something. Hopefully it wraps up nicely. In other news, I'll continue through Ni No Kuni if there is time.
Bob Webb: Tonight (Friday) I will be playing the role of red neck and will be fighting for my life in the Kinect's finest fish wrestling simulator. I'll also be continuing my replay of Dead Space 2 over the weekend (now that I'm caught up to where I was and then some). If I manage to tie off Dead Space 2 in the next few days, I'll see about picking up Dead Space 3. I've "beaten" Dragon's Dogma to the point where the Everfall opens up, so I might spend some more time digging into that content depending on my schedule.
Chris Davis: The long journey to this weekend has finally come to an end and I can FINALLY focus on gaming. Dead Space 3 is my focus as I’m writing the review. I have my qualms about the game so far but to get anything more out of me you’re going to have to read my review come early next week.
Joseph Christ: Going to try and finish Dead Space 3 and hopefully get in a little coop before the shitstorm that is Aliens: Colonial Marines hits next week. You heard me right, I'm expecting ACM to be a disaster. We'll find out if I'm right on Tuesday. |
Nolan Hedstrom: I am pretty much at the end of Ni No Kuni, I only have a few side quests left and after earning millions playing Platoon in the Casino and finding the spawn location of two Tokotokos who's battle results in ~20k exp I think I've mastered my Wizarding skills. I am going to try to wrap up the Kunis this weekend so I can spend my time focusing on Metal Gear Solid. I am about 70% done with MGS 2: Sons of Liberty/Substance/HD Collection so I will try to finish casting that on Saturday morning. Sunday will be the start of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater/Subsistance/HD Collection. So join me on the feed and we'll see if we can manage to avoid drowning! |
Jeff Demelo: Bouncing between Dead Space 3 and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time this weekend. Both games have their issues, but I'm leaning more on the Sly end of things -- Dead Space 3 has been a disappointment to me, to be quite honest. When on my feet, I'll be playing Super Magical on iPad - which was free recently. It's a Bubble Bobble RPG hybrid that's been holding my attention on the iOS front. With a blizzard climbing up the north-east, I will break up my play sessions with some shoveling, and riding my "quad" - which is more fun than anything on this list, hands down. |

I've been a little shaky in my time with the Witcher 2. I got used to combat, but I don't know how to beat the Karyan. Other than that I have been playing Rayman 1 on PS1. I have a little more respect for the Rayman series, it thought it was just a basic platformer, but it really holds up well in 2013.

After years of pressure, I’ve decided to buy a DS Pokémon game. I selected white version 1 since my older brother has the black version. I personally plan on finishing Dragons Dogma this week as well.

I returned Dead Space 3 to the rental store one day early because it's not even worth it. Instead I'll be playing The Witcher, which I stopped many months ago. So a big thank you to Visceral Games for indirectly inspiring me to actually play a good game!

The Witcher. I'm loving it so far, but man I wish I could run The Witcher 2.

Got in an RPG mood. Playing Mass Effect 2 and the Witcher 2 again. And some ME3 multiplayer for the first time.

Made a run through Torchlight 2 with some friends, and put more hours than I wanted to into FTL. I should be starting new games on my weekends but I find myself continually falling into old time sinks (quick and easy games requiring no long term commitment, just boot-and-go for short sessions). I guess I've been watching a lot more streaming while playing other things on the side... Next week I'll get back on track and probably start something quirky like Lego LOTR and Scribblenauts Unlimited

Will, my internet and TV both out due to the blizzard in New England, so I can't play anything online. Ended up finishing Hotline Miami today.
