I'm not really sure what to say about this other than it seems Team Ninja lives in a type of Fallout-esque vortex where the current world is a amalgamation of 1950's sexual roles but with video games thrown into the mix.
In the most recent update to Dead or Alive 5 they have included a mode where players can control the movement of the avatar's breasts using the PS3 dualshock controller. You know, by shaking it...and stuff. The results can be seen in the video below and is probably the most non-sexy thing in the entire world. Truly, it resembles more of a vacation anatomical check-up on a jelly filled mannequin than anything else, or perhaps the uncomfortable setup of a breast cancer check being done by Dr. Earnhardt on a tropical beach.
The update comes with other new additions but, honestly, are we really interested in seeing what else Dead or Alive 5 has to offer. I'm almost frightened to poke further below the surface.
Team Ninja can't be fully blamed however. Game director Yohei Shimbori has claimed that when a less sexualized version of the series was tried, the backlash from the fans was overwhelming. "We actually got a lot of feedback from people who were playing it, saying, 'We want bigger breasts. Make the characters more like that,'" he told Gamasutra at the time. "That was kind of surprising."
Actually Mr. Shimobri, have you seen male gamers? It isn't surprising at all.

Honestly, I'm disappointed. This feature is only for the female characters in the game, which I call bullshit. Why can't I use the Dualshock to manipulate the pecs on that big lucha libre-looking motherfucker? Or better yet, give his lower regions some jiggle physics, I mean if all the women of DOA can have balloon tits, why can't the male characters have some bulge of their own?
So unfair, Team Ninja.

I'm disappointed that any game in existence has a fanbase that would even want this. Even disregarding the sexism, it's just stupid as hell and doesn't seem like it should entertain anyone for more than a minute or two (even that's pretty generous). With that said, I'm not the least bit surprised that Jiggle Physics: The Game would have this; it makes perfect sense for the series. I could almost applaud Team Ninja for being self-aware and frank enough to go this distance. Just sucks to know that something this dumb can have enough of a following to continue being made in this day and age.
