It's not often that I write about a Kickstater, but this is one that I can get behind. Blue Goggles Films is an independent film company that has produced the 'Bit Parts' video series, a series centering around two X-Filesesque agents who deal with cases revolving around video games. Or as BGF describe it, "Two B.I.T. agents navigate the worlds of video games maintaining order, only to discover a higher power at play — the gamer. "

Six episodes have been produced so far, but now Blue Goggles Films have found themselves in a financial pickle that is restricting them from making any more. And it couldn't happen at a worse time. The vision for Bit Parts is a grand one, with BGF intending on them being more involved and continuing the story arc of each one for a longer duration.

The videos produced so far are exceptionally well done and, personally, I would love to see this series continue and be expanded upon. The kickstarter, however, is almost over with Blue Goggles Films quite far from their goal. Pledging to the Kickstarter will net you various rewards including the chance to name a game produced in one of the Episodes for the highest contributors, but contributing anything will grant you something even better, the ability to support a truly imaginative take on video game culture.

Check out the first Bit Parts episode below and the rest on their Kickstarter page.

Wow, that is some amazing facial animations.

They clearly seem to be on the right track of knowing how to use what they have to the best of their abilities. Seriousness to comedy, well done. Too bad this flew under the information radar for everyone.....they could have used some publicity.

If I have any spare cash that I'm not using on myself or 4PN then I'll add some to this. o:
