New screens for Deep Silvers Dead Island:Riptide have just been released showing, as the developers would put it, more dead and more island.
There are a couple of interesting things going on in them however. Though the engine looks mostly the same from the original there is more detail on items and firearms, and dismemberment seems to be playing an even bigger role this time around. One of the screens show a zombie crawling along after having his legs severed and there just seems to be more errant bodyparts laying around in general.
I'm all for dismemberment of the walking dead so seeing more of this pleases me.

a few things i didn't like about the first dead island was the same enemy character models, and when you chopped off the heads of zombies even if it was a girl the head turns into a male head and its exactly the same all the time, and the lack of tense moments where you had to run for your life from zombies like the beginning when the guy on the intercom tells you to run, things like that and the lack of a decent zombie story like the walking dead game needs to impact the player in some kind of way like emotionally and mentally, lets hope they learned a few of their mistakes with their glitchy game and lack of a story, :/
