James Rolfe, better know as the Angry Video Game nerd has been working on a movie based on his nerd character for awhile, and now we're finally getting our first glimpse.
It looks outlandish, silly, absurd and downright amazing.
James Rolfe is working with fellow filmmaker Kevin Finn on the story of the Video Game Nerd as he goes on a quest to find the buried Atari 2600 ET cartridges in the desert of New Mexico, and in the process runs afoul of the US Government, aliens, robots, zombies, boxes and...well...just watch the trailer below.
I've always really enjoyed Rolfe's work and this looks to be no exception. The movie is completely independent and funded 100% by fan donations. From the looks of it, he's taken that small amount of funding pretty damn far.

Holy shit, it even got a 4PN post? I believe we're looking at one of the most historical internet success stories so far in the making in front of our very own goddamn eyes. This is uncanny and spectacular.

The reason why Atari buried all those ET cartridges is because they produced way more gaming cartridges that there were Atari 2600. I think ratio was something stupid like 2:1. I couldn't finish (or play for that matter) the game. I didn't know wtf I was suppose to do.
