Kill the 'Tyrant' George Washington in This Assassin's Creed III DLC

Ubisoft is today announcing some of their Assassin's Creed III DLC, one of which takes you on a ride through an alternative history where you are tasked with killing a power-hungry King George Washington.

As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend. 

This content can be purchased separately and will be part of a $30 dollar Season Pass, which seems to be all the rage these days, that will also net you 5 additional -yet announced- DLC packs for about 25% off according to Ubisoft.  The Tyranny of King George DLC, however, is where the rubber really meets the road. It's an entire non-canon expansion to the single player game which will be made available to the player in three separate installments.

I certainly love the idea. Playing with history, when done right like this, can create a fantastic counter-reality that can be a lot of fun to play in. Done badly however, yes I'm talking about Ghost Popes, things can turn very silly very fast. Actually, the Ghost Pope would have be great if it wasn't being taken so darn seriously.
