Hitman: Abolution E3 Trailer, The Correct Answer Was Crazy Leather-Clad Nuns

So according to the tattoo at the 0:46 mark, they are all from ICA. So, no more Puissance Treize or The Franchise I guess?

It was good until agent 47 began killing.........that's a good sign, right?

I thought Hitman fans wanted crazy. They finally bring the crazy by adding in sexy, psychotic nuns and not everyone thinks its utter crap... Im intrigued.

This may not resemble Hitman as much as some people would like but given my frustrations with the series, I am getting pretty excited. It seems like a nice blend of hitman goofiness with the darker tone that I tend to like in my action games. I hope they have some more open environments to show in this game at E3 because I definitely dont want this to be a linear shooter. We should have more to talk about in a week.

Please tell me Brad is going to do a trailer talk for this, I always wondered what forehead veins popping sounded like.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about this, but personally I think much of the complaints are overreactions and largely unfounded.

First, the people complaining about the sexualization of the women. Honestly, its not as bad as people claim. For one, they're not that scantily clad. Remember the Heaven level in Blood Money? Now that's worse. Which leads me to my next point. The "Saints" as I think they're called, 'fit' in the Hitman universe. There are plenty of other crazy characters and these nuns would fit right in.

Another thing is people complain that it deviates from 47's style. Whether the actual game goes away from the previous games' gameplay is a different matter, and I'll reserve judgement until more gameplay footage is out or when the 4player crew gets their hands on it at E3. But to say that this is not what 47 would do is wrong. Remember the beginning of Hitman Contracts? He killed every single clone assassin in that asylum. I don't think he did that by being disguised as a clown. I would bet he did that much in the same way he killed the nuns in this video.

My main point is don't put too much weight on this trailer as a reflection of the gameplay. Just wait until more gameplay footage is out, or even better, until the actual game releases and the reviews start rolling out.

You know that Sideshow Bob episode in The Simpsons where he repeatedly steps on rakes that hit him in the face and he grunts each time? This is exactly what every step of progression in Absolution feels like to me.

Based on the other Hitman trailer, not the nun one, I'm nervous that this game will consist of a series of levels that provide the stealthy route and the shoot'em-up route... and by that I mean, exactly ONE stealthy route, and ONE shoot'em-up route, per level.

still not hitman....i mean if there is a part in the new hitman game where nuns show up and u have to hide/take them out in a area, than fuck this game...im fine with other "assasins" being after agent 47....but in bloodmoney they did it right. Remember that one mission at a snowy playboy party ("pool party!") and there was that hidden assassin chick when u went into a room with her......fucking great.

Though to be honest, if you take away the Kung Fu, that was actually very Hitmanish. I think people tend not to remember how absolutely batshit weird some of the characters in the levels were.

Seems more Assassin's Creed than Hitman.
