The Witcher 2 Enhanced Goes Gold, Special Announcement Coming

CD Projekt RED has announced that The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition has now gone gold and will be available for its scheduled release date of April 17th.

Interactive Entertainment., The Witcher’s 2 North American distributor  “This game contains all of the elements that make The Witcher a truly immersive experience that will undoubtedly captivate console gamers just as it has and continues to engage PC gamers.”
“The game is truly a masterpiece and we are excited to bring the complex and non-linear story of Geralt of Rivia to console players”  added Olivier Comte, senior vice president, NAMCO BANDAI Partners S.A.S., the game’s distributor for Europe, Asia and Australia.

 The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition is the console release of the hit PC title by the same name, but is arriving with a load of extra content including new cinematics, missions, and controls.  We've been fairly smitten with it since our first viewing at E3 2011, and though we had some concerns with the technical aspects of porting a highly graphical game over to consoles, recent playthroughs have described a game just as beautiful as its PC counterpart and running smoothly as well.

Marcin Iwiński, joint-CEO pf CD Projekt RED has also come forward to detail a special conference for April 5th where they are promising to "announce something truly extraordinary."  You'll be able to watch the event on CD Projekt RED's live stream at 5 p.m. GMT that day.
