Irrational Games is continuing its roll out of their Bioshock Infinite Heavy Hitters series, this time talking about The Siren a ghostly apparition that can raise your enemies from the dead.

I like how Irrational is really taking the time period into account when designing these enemies. Here, Ken Levine talks about how a surge of interest in mediums during the early 1900's was the main inspiration for the design concepts of The Siren.  And if you've ever seen those old photographs purportedly of mediums shedding ectoplasm during seances, you know how creepy this idea can be.

God, so far everything in this game sounds like they'll all be making creepy noises.... The siren sounds like it might get annoying but I'm glad they're changing some things up with the enemy variety.

Despite the fact that I we have seen this kind of enemy in the past I think this sums up my thoughts perfectly. "I like how Irrational is really taking the time period into account when designing these enemies." Well put sir.

Saw this enemy first, then I took a look at the other heavy hitters...yeah, that's enough to unnerve me for this game.

    Definitely excited for this game.

    Those pictures are pretty creepy.

Also Bioshock Infinite looks awesome and loving the enemies.

All this enemy variety seems to make up for Bioshock's lack of it. Ah, the sweet smell of System Shock 2 is quite strong in this one, despite the settings and some different gameplay mechanics. Can't wait for this game.

The atmosphere in this game looks rather bright and sunny, but the more they show, it seems like it will be a lot creepier than the original BioShock.

Meh, BioShock has officially lost its "creepy" factor.

    Unless your afraid of heights.
