Developed by VectorCell, AMY was a new take on the survival horror genre that showed a lot of promise. Like the overly large present your grandmother gave you for your birthday, many of us at 4Player were quivering with anticipation at the thought of opening it. During the unwrapping, however, we quickly discovered that yes, grandma is still senile and that tuna casserole still goes bad when you put in a box for several days.
AMY (Xbox 360)
Developer: VectorCell
Publisher: Lexis Numérique
Release Date: January 11th, 2012 (NA)
Score: 40%
(40-49%: Bad – Only a few good qualities are barely noticeable here.)

Video review, huh? I liked it. Hope you guys do this for other games.

I liked your video. Your details and explanations were great, but you sound like you a little like a tutorial. Although the delivery of the last line was perfect. I can see room for improvement that it won't be hard to achieve. Good 1st try.

I love this, I really do. Amy is a game that throws all of its wasted potential in your face and the developers call you shit for their mistakes. People may think 40% is too generous, but I'd say that's fair. "Fucking depressing mess," is all that needs be said really.
Great job Bob. Very in depth review, very fair and quite hilarious to boot.

Very beginning sounded like the Game Trailers review of the game but it was still a good first review. Looking forward for more, if any.

A nice step, broadening the type of media being produced by this site. Hammer home all of the negatives, realizing what they might have been *trying* to accomplish, yet failed to do so. I personally hate insta-fail stealth sequences, so the very idea of having a whole section of such a small game devoted to that... *shudders* now that is the scary part.

hahahaha, that was funny. and true.

You guys continue to surprise me many years after I first find you. Keep up the good work, and good video Bob!

Nice 1st review, I'm really liking the increase of video content on this site so far; you guys have been quite successful these past couple years but this jump in variety sure shows a confident growth in 4PP.
This was a great first video review and I'm sure you've already recognized improvements to be made but all I could say is that your voice could be a little louder and distinct, it sounds at times as if you're whispering. It does sound fine at the moment but a tad louder would sound a lot more confident and engaging. Possibly some more on screen statistics or more detailed review points would make the video more engaging too but as I said, it's a fine introduction to future video reviews.

Music really fits that last comment.

This is surprisingly clean-cut for what appears to be your first video review. Astonishing, really. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I first heard about it, but this feels akin to the stuff that IGN occasionally spits out. Even though I hate IGN and the way they handle things, this is more or less a compliment. G'job, Bob.

I really enjoyed this review, I was thinking of picking it up but after seeing your troubles and frustrations of this game, I decided against it. I hope you keep doing great reviews, and good job Bob.

Nice work, Bob. I look forward to seeing more of these and how they evolve (like AdjacentKitten said, this was surprisingly clean-cut and polished for your first video review).

That quote at the end killed me XD

Great review! I'm so disappointed in how this game turned out. I was looking forward to playing it as soon as I heard about it. Thanks, Bob!

Glad to see you trying to do some video reviews. The content and information is there but it seemed a little stiff. One of the unique things with 4player is everyone's personality is everywhere in what they do. Podcasts, text reviews, the feed, news stories. I guess I would just like to hear more of your personality in these like we do in cocktail time as opposed to it seeming more like you are just reading a checklist of things. Overall though, a great start and I hope you keep making more of these.

Thanks guys! Seeing a lot of great feedback that I'll definitely incorporate in the next video review I do.

I agree with people above. :)
Nice to see Video reviews for a change!
Make your voice stand out a bit more and or lower music and the audio will be better.

That was great for a first review, it was really well made. Also l love the sum up line, made me laugh, can't wait to see what happens in future reviews. I mean the only thing is, I agree with some of the comments above about having more personality to the voice. Overall, great to see new content and look forward to sum more.
I was still curious to play this game despite the critical response, until I heard about the stealth sequence where there is instant failure, I like stealth but thats unforgivable.

I like how the flaws are pointed out and what better efforts that could help the design are mentioned. Great video review.

Great job with the first ever 4PP video review, unless there was one I've never seen.

Video reviews? Good stuff!
I would love to see all the 4pp crew do these as you guys play a lot of different games to each other.
Much love to the 4pp crew r
