Continuing the Skyrim news today, Bethesda has released a preview trailer for the upcoming Skyrim Creation Kit, the newest modding tools for the Elder Scrolls Series.

There's just a plethora of cool stuff that's included here, and just looking at all the functionality is probably going to make me buy a PC version of the game and jump on board. From sleek level editing tools to a robust NPC interaction system, the entire thing just pulsates with fluidity. In addition, the Creation Kit is being integrated into Steam which will allow players to easily find and install mods at will, and subscribe to modders who make things they like.

Really, it solves some of the biggest drawbacks of modding which has been actually finding great mods on the numerous forums out there, and the fear some have of changing their original game. This new integration makes it not only seamless, but also provides the content from a source people trust, Steam.

Wow, this looks great. And my "fuck you" of the day goes to DICE and EA for not releasing moding tools for BF3.

That's it. I'm selling my PS3 copy of Skyrim. I refuse to play it until I get a PC that can run it. Consoles only get half the experience. I'll bet there's already a modding team out there just itching to get their hands on this so they can create an entirely new game with the Skyrim Engine.

That's pretty neat, probably why it took them so god damn long to release it. Now hopefully I can have that morrowind UI I've been craving.

I'll try it, then give up within an hour. Provided it ends up being easier to use than it looks.

God, I'm really liking that Steam integration. If it works out well, maybe this could even lead to more developers offering mod support for future games that require Steam.
