We're not going to get into the MWx vs. BF3 debate. To each their own, but I did always feel that Modern Warfare lacked in the 'team support' department.  For me, if I wanted to just get kills I played MW, if I wanted to be part of a collusive team operating together toward one objective, I would play Battlefield.

Now it seems that the devs of Modern Warfare are starting to notice. Strike Packages are being introduced into the MW3 multiplayer that now cater to different playstyles, including those people (like me) who really enjoy team support roles.  Sure, it's still a lot of run-and-gun but adding additional depth to the Modern Warfare multiplayer experience is a  step in the right direction.

Watch the video explaining Strike Packages below and let me know what you think.

I like the Idea of it being based around playstyles now, It sucked when you were a person who went straight for points, and you couldnt get near them because everyone was just doing kills so you had no help, Now people will be rewarded for objectives instead of just kills.

I dig this! I've always really enjoyed the Call of Duty series for the fast paced, twitch-like gameplay... but every once in awhile its been nice to pop in Battlefield and play a little more strategically. Only every once in awhile though. I'm glad to see both shooters finding an even ground. The BF3 Beta felt much more fast paced than BFBC2 and now CoD is trying to add some more strategic elements. Although for now they are still both very different types of shooters, I'm glad to see them changing significantly. This is good.

I'm still not interested in the multiplayer as a whole, but this change is a bit intriguing. I'm curious as to how people will react to this when the game comes out.

I like that they're changing it up so people have to less worry about getting their kills and all but I'm still not sold on getting the game. Not because I want BF3, I don't really want that either. But these are welcome changes if I do ever decide to pick up MW3. I hope the Specialist pack doesn't get out of hand though.

Glad to see MW getting the changes it deserves, finally IW humbled themselves enough to learn from others and put the criticisms from the last game to good use, even aside from the Strike Package set-up, the other changes they showed at CoDXP (which escape me atm) seemed to be setting the game in the right direction finally

Support doesn't reset the streak abilities upon death? Wow. That's a game changer for me.. I may actually have to pick this game up now if my friends get it, too.
