Microsoft has found it within its bosom to offer you a gift of charity. They know that you've been frumping about with just too much damned money in your pockets and you've been searching for something so exorbitantly overpriced that it would free you of your economic prison in one fell swoop. Luckily, Microsoft is coming to your aid by today announcing the release of their standalone 320GB hard drive. The Price? $130 dollars.
To put this in perspective, you can (right now) buy a ONE TERABYTE hard drive for your computer for the meager sum of $55 dollars.
Of course, unlike the computer hard drive, the Xbox drive comes packed with Lego Star Wars III! So maybe it all evens out in the end. Few things in the world are actually packed with Lego Star Wars. Things like a high class hookers vagina, and that'll cost you about a grand. How do those two things correlate?
I don't know. But it makes just about as much sense as spending $130 on a 320GB hard drive.

Oh Joseph, you and your fancy metaphors and references to things no one on this site will know of.
But hey, Microsoft has to make money somehow!

That line between the price of a nice PC and the Xbox is getting pretty thin and blurry if you ask me. Not that I didn't see that happening or anything several years ago.

Sad thing is, people are gonna buy this.

your getting mad at the 320? the 240 was $130 until this plus a computer hard drive can be used for multiple devices making production easier and more in demand a xbox hard drive is just for xbox meaning less people will be buying it so they need a higher price (not trying to sound rude just telling some facts)

Who knows? Maybe microsoft is on their way to create an extension or add on software/device that is only applicable to their manufactured HDD (which at this point, sounds ridiculous). But hey! The future reeks innovations...

So...Lego Star Wars is worth $75? No thank you, M$.
If M$ packed in better games than I might consider it, but what they offer is crap.

I picked up a 250GB HDD a while ago off of Woot! for "only" (in Microsoft's dictionary) $50. I don't buy games too much, so it's only slowly filling up, mainly because I install games before playing them. So no thank you to this one.

This is just as bad as the Best Buy HDMI cables they have for $30-$80. Go on Amazon and get that same or better for $1-$10.

cant u use external HD on the 360? i mean i know usb sticks work
13 years, 1 month ago
You can, but you don't want to play games from a HD that is connected through USB. Transfer rate is way too slow.

I really hate how Microsoft does this shit.
As of right now, I can buy a 2 TB SATA hard drive for $94.99 on NewEgg.
A $130 dollar 320GB harddrive is total bollocks.

This is an awful deal

I didn't think the price was that bad. I paid like 100 bucks for a 200 gig harddrive a few years back, guess I haven't been keeping up. But will the new harddrive even work with the new 360s? Aren't they all built-in now?

Absurd.
