Originally announced a number of weeks ago, the original Crysis -now prepped for consoles with the CryEngine 3- will be available on October 4th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
It'll cost you just $20 to experience the original Crysis but just because it has a low price and a little dust on the spine, don't expect it to be of less quality than the newer Crysis 2. The original Crysis was groundbreaking when it was first released, and had much more of an open world setting than its sequel.
Personally, I prefer the playpen feel of the former myself. Check out some of the new screenshots below.

I've never seen the first game before, it looks good. Although i'm obsessing more about the release of Dark Souls than I am with Crysis.

It looks like the SCAR had a small redesign. I don't recall it having that iron sight in the original version.

Played it around the time it first came out (at mid range settings :P) and loved it, and seeing how i no longer have a PC capable of running it, combined with the $20 price tag, i'll definitely be willing to dish that out to enjoy it again. Any word on whether it will enable multiplayer?
