Square Enix is set to unload the first bit of DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution which attempts to fill in a three-day gap appearing about midway through the game. Called "The Missing Link," this three day period apparently has Jensen losing the ability of his augmentations and, I would suppose, becoming much more Solid Snake than Terminator. Actually, the fact that it takes place on a ship, you lose most of your augs, the chair Adam is sitting in...it just all screams Metal Gear Solid 2 for me. And I'm not in any way saying that's a bad thing.
Square Enix has also revealed that this DLC will also allow player to "rebuild Adam's augmentation set" meaning a possible way to respec your character. Not put anything into Hacking you silly fool? Now you can repair your prior transgression.
Check out the trailer below. Having completed Human Revolution already I'm ready to stick this DLC in my gaps as soon as it comes out, which is next month.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like this DLC came out a bit too soon? Maybe it's just because I'm slow and am still not done with Human Rev.

This was a great game but I'm not a big fan of replaying games after i know the ending. This DLC will give me a good reason to play "Blade runner" again. Oh! do we need to pay for this DLC or do we need to pay for this?

I know I'm excited for this. Though it seems like they will have to 'retcon away' all of those injuries he's sustained.

Too be honest, I've grown on the whole 'no respecialization' thing in this game. As one of the developers said (I don't remember where), they had that in there so your choices would be more dire, even in upgrading. So if you were an idiot and didn't put anything at all into hacking, sucks to be you, maybe you should have thought about it more. I liked that it added more weight to your upgrading knowing you can't undo once you've made a decision.
Also, I like that there adding more to this game because the gameplay itself was awesome. I just think that the game focuses too much on stealth more than any other form of gameplay and that is clearly present in what we know about this DLC. I'm going through a "shoot people" playthrough (as opposed to my previous no kills-no alarms) and I'm finding it actually difficult to actually ever need to do so. You can easily sneak past almost every encounter in the game and the game just kind of guides you in that direction with how every encounter is set up.

Even more reason for me to get Dues Ex: HR

I enjoyed Deus Ex: HR. I'd say it's one of the best games i've played this year. But i think i'll be going back to infamous 2 for a little 'vampire cole' action over this. I just feel this isn't a substantial DLC add on. It simply offers an extra part to the main story that wasn't required in the first place or should have been included in the original game.
Do you actually have to replay the game upto this point where they will shoe horn in the new content? Or will it be stand alone? I'm guessing stand alone if they're saying you can respec.

i can't wait to have another reason to play deus ex, and while i don't QUITE understand how they're tying this into the main story that's just more of a reason to play this
