Having been announced more than two years ago at E3, news surrounding Team Ico's latest title, The Last Guardian, has been rather sparse. It turns out we'll need to wait even longer before we get to see more of it. On the official Sony blog it was stated that The Last Guardian will not be shown at the Tokyo Game Show this year. Brian Dunn, however, "can assure you that Ueda-san and the rest of the development team are hard at work to bring his lofty vision to life and deliver the very best gaming experience possible." In the mean time, take a gander at the box art for the new Ico & Shadow of the Colossus bundle.
With the upcoming HD re-release of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for the PS3 and the alteration in Team Ico's production procedures, it's no surprise that they are taking their sweet time. I can imagine Team Ico wants to certain they make a really well crafted remastering of the two previous games in order to drum up awareness and anticipation for their newest title. With the "complete" European version of Ico on the disc, hi-res textures and a consistent frame-rate, we have a lot to look forward to come September 27th. Also, if you haven't seen Eurogamer's comparison of the original PS2 and the ported PS3 versions, you should really check it out. In the least, we'll have two amazing games to keep us occupied while we wait for more Last Guardian news.

First Versus XIII is a no show ONCE AGAIN at TGS and now The Last Guardian.I'm beginning to believe neither of these games really exist.

I still have hope. they are practically working on 2 games at once, so I'm not worried about a no-show. Looks like I have no choice but to wait for more news. They will strike gold again, I know they will.

I am PERFECTLY alright with this. I want them to make this the best game it can possibly be, and I don't intend on letting impatience get to me.
I don't want them to rush on this game.

I don't know. This doesn't seem like a huge deal. Yes, they announced it a while back and it looked amazing, but...it was an announcement. They wanted people to know about it as early as possible to drum up as much attention at they could. They want this game to sell well. And the early people know about it...the more time the name exists...then when they finally show it at trade shows, with a possible release date, everyone that heard that name might say, "Hey, I heard about this game sometime, and people said it looked good, I think I might check this out."
And you see, with Versus 13, the thing that is slowing it down is because NOMURA IS TOTES DOING A TON OF COOL DESIGN FOR TWEWY 2 AMIRITE GUYS? ...ahem. Sorry. Yeah...FF games do take forever. I never thought they would release two console ones at a close release. There were five years between X and XII, and X-2 was more of a...they had an idea, they still had plenty of the models, and set off from there. Not a "from the ground up" FF, so to speak. And 3/4 years between 12 and 13. Versus is, from the ground up, different than 13. Sooo...I guess I can see it taking longer...of course, they were announced at the same time, and so then the difference in time doesn't make the most sense to me...I don't know, really.

so what your saying is; buy ico/sotc HD and play those in my dark cave for the next 2 years until the last guardian is released... sure why not
