Thinking that you don't have enough games to play, Klei Entertainment and EA have gone ahead and announced Shank 2. I'm not sure if they realized how full my gaming pallet currently is, but at the moment it's fuller than Bob Ross's hair after a cocaine bender.

If you enjoyed the original, you can add Shank 2 into your 'early 2012' list which, in case you haven't noticed isn't very far away. You can also classify this time as when you "haven't finished Dark Souls, Skyrim, or anything that was released post October.

Kill me now.

“Creatively, Shank still has a lot to give” said Jamie Cheng, founder of Klei Entertainment. “We took the feedback from the community and ran with it, putting our own flavor on every change. For Shank 2, we literally took apart the game and put it back together to push the envelope in combat mechanics, visuals, and 2D animation in games."

“We are honored to again partner with the visionary talent of Klei Entertainment,” said Jamil Moledina, Director, Business Development at EA Partners. “Shank 2 showcases their ability to blend emotionally resonant yet sardonically violent storytelling with pitch perfect controls and art design and confirms EA Partners' strategy of bringing the best independent games simultaneously to all leading digital platforms."

The game will feature a return of the original character -Shank himself- and also include "an intense new, arcade-style survival co-op mode that has gamers working together to take down their foes, relying on the environment and weapon pick-ups for survival."

Personally, I would like to see gamers working together to get us through the ballooned gaming season that the end of this year has become.

Oh god...the BF3 beta just started.

Shank will be released for XBLA, PSN and the PC. Your free time, however, is gone for good.
