Max Payne 3 Release Date Announced...and there was much Rejoicing.

I played through Max Payne 1 and a little bit of 2, even though that was years ago i can say that i'm a still little excited for a Max Payne 3 even more so know since there's an actual time set up for its release. Anyways ur awesome Joesph :)

Having visited my family in Sao Paulo recently, I think its interesting that they are setting the game there. I know it probably will be nothing like the actual city but I still look forward to seeing rockstars take on the game.

I've had a passing interest in the game. I'm ready to see some footage to get that hype train running.

Eh...I must admit this post has stomped my hype for this game to a fair degree. I was already looking at this game as an "Oh shit, I'm definitely getting THAT when I see it in a bargain bin!" kind of thing. Now I see Max really isn't going to keep his laughably generic look (Instead, we get a generic look that people take seriously) and the game doesn't even take place in a run-down, noire-throwback city? I am disappoint. I respect that they're trying out new ideas, though. It's also possible the gameplay could make up for it. Demonstration, Rockstar?

OMG AWESOME It's about time they tell us.
I've been waiting for this for ages.
I've played Max Payne 2 and it's still one of my favourite games ever.
Hope it still has comic book cut-scenes.
I'm probably gonna play Max Payne 1 before this and also Max Payne 2.
Just don't know where am I get them.

My faith in Rockstar has been earned, but also pushed. I really hope they bring alot for Max Payne 3 for both newbies to the franchise and try their best to remain true to this amazing series.

Max Payne 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, having played the first two games religiously I'm expecting a lot from rockstar to pull this off. At the time of release Max Payne was fresh, with the cover to cover gunplay being original and slow motion bullet-time being something suprisingly fun.
However both of these have been done in multiple games since, Rockstar needs to nail the thing that made me love the game and not just like it.
Atmosphere, dialogue and surroundings are key to keeping old fans like me happy, I'm scared Rockstar will aim this game at newcomers to the franchise, leaving a lot of things behind for the sake of making the story understandable to newbies.

Played Max Payne 1 and LOVED it. Can't say I'm excited for this game, it'll be interesting to see what they do though.

Holy crap, those graphics look pretty sweet. Also, some people were afraid that this would be a purely pop-and-stop game, but from that first screen shot, it looks like you can go the "nothing-to-lose" route, as well. Nice.

Flesh of falling angels, baby! I'm pretty stoked.
