Those without a high-end PC rig might be in for some sour truth when they boot up Battlefield 3 on their PS3 next month.  We all knew there would be some graphical sacrifices to be made in the console version but I don't think anyone thought it would be this bad.

Spending a thousand dollars on a new PC suddenly seems like a good idea.

I dunno, doesn't seem THAT bad. The PS3 version even clearly has more vibrant colors.

I laughed at the video but when comes to interaction between PC players and console players in Battlefield PC gamers need to get off their High horse. It's really getting old "Hur console inferior PC FTW". Even though it's scaled down we're still playing the same game aren't we?

could not give a fuck i could get it for all ports but a game is a game i go for more content than graphics and fps's just don't have enough variation or originality anymore, bored of this genre now.

Completely agreed with Ikusa, Cvillain and Hegs. Battlefield 3 on XBox 360 and PS3 will be an excellent game. Probably an exceptional game. I've spent $60 on far less - I won't be crying just because it's excellent instead of a little more excellent. PC elitists need to get over themselves.

This made me laugh a little too much. And, this "PC vs Consoles" debate makes me laugh even more.

My PC sucks and I'm not going to buy a new one just to have a bit more content in a damn video game. I've grown up on console gaming, so it's honestly what I prefer anyway. Even if the PC version is technically superior, I'm happy just playing the game.

You know what I'm just going to bottle it all in because it's just not worth. This made me chuckle though. Probably won't pick this up, to much on my plate for a multiplayer shooter right now.

I think people need to realize, that the fact that consoles ARE missing out on the 64v64 player online and experience reduced graphical quality clearly shows how outdated consoles are becoming, and what is concerning is that both microsoft and sony are saying they still plan to push their consoles for another few years.
Sure, It might not matter right now, but how about in say, a year? When games grow even more? The xbox and PS3 are still going to have the same hardware inside them, meaning that we'll see more and more games being scaled down for console. This would've already been the case YEARS ago if the market divide between console and PC sales was so large.

The PS3 version will sell better if this were the case. It's graphics would be labeled as just being visually stylized by the Indie crowd. lol

I think console games are becoming obsolete do to the fact they cant seem to build a system that can handle a graphic intensive game.like bf3 due to the fact they already have overheating issues and adding a more high end graphics card would only create a bigger heating issue .in order for sony or microsoft to keep their consoles from being completely destroyed by the pc community they would have to create a console thats as good as a pc in tje heating area as well as increase the graphic card and for them to do that they would have jack up the price in turn you might as well buy a pc anyway ...ohh and u can still get tje console feel.from yoir pc jist buy a controller for the famn thing and.this is coming from someone who has both a console and a high end pc ..

LOL the video made me chuckle.

1st of all I have been a PS3 gamer since Bad Company 1 came out.
I do prefer a PC rig for gaming but I'm not gonna slag console owners off.
If I had the money right now I personally would build myself a top spec rig just for this game, but seeing as I haven't, I will stick to the PS3 version I am sure it will look OK on my 52" in 7.1 surround.
I prefer PC.mainly for these reasons:-
    1. The speed at which you can do a full 360 degree spin is around 15-20 times faster than on a control pad (OK you can speed up your settings BUT you don't have both the speed and accuracy of a mouse). Also aiming is faster and more sensitive.
TBH I cant think of any other reasons apart from slightly better graphics (GPU, CPU, RAM depending).
When I 1st moved to PS3 the control pad was a bitch to get used to, I'm OK on it now though.
I can see why gamers who use control pads don't like keyboard and mouse, but once you have sussed how to use it, it is like an extension of your brain.
20 different keys no problem I can use them all without looking, that skill didn't happen overnight though, and TBH I haven't gamed on a PC for so long I'm wondering if I still have them.
I only play Battlefield no other game no Call of Duty. I just hope I am not disappointed.
One shit thing I can GUARANTEE is that after 7 days of release the PS3 EA servers will crash multiple times daily for around a month - EA why don't you spend that pre-order money on a decent fucking server!

I still don't get why you console dudes say that you need a glorified pc to play games... Hell i own a pc thats roughly costs 250$ max today.... and it plays the shit out of this game! its so old that the hardware is obsolete now but it still plays the game like smooth butter!
