Gears of War 3 'Dust to Dust' Trailer is Both Poignant and Awesome

I think this is the only reason i want an xbox

From what I had played from the Gears of War 3 Beta, they have made very good changes to the multiplayer and to the game overall. Much more fast paced and balanced gameplay, can't wait to play this when it comes out.

I'm very excited for Gears 3, especially since the beta was very good in my opinion and horde seems really fun now from what I played at Fan Expo.

Looks kind of awesome, but I'm afraid that the game isn't going to be like that at all.

I've always loved the trailers they do for each Gears iteration but I after the Gears 1 trailer and actual game, I felt it was kinda misdirected since the actual storyline is so throw-away and cheesy, which is why I loved the War Pigs trailer for 3 as it actually gave the badass impression of the game.

Trailer is kind of cool, but only because it's odd selection of music, swap it out with some generic rock and roll and it be more badass.

They don't need generic rock in the trailer because they aren't trying to tell a story to an action movie. It's a story about fighting your extinction, and about how are hard you'll fight to stay alive in the face of impossible odds.

Gear's 1 trailer is what got me into the series, and I'm glad to see them continuing the extremely epic trailer line. Skyward sword should've taken a few notes XD.

I can't believe this game comes out so soon. I dunno why but it feels like it just snuck up on me. Oh well, enjoyed the first 2 so I might as well pick this up.

Still not convinced, adding a few weapons and an extra 2 players for coop, just isn't enough for me to fork out for ANOTHER GoW. . . . . "Oh but Locked, it Gears of War!" Oh well, I played the beta, that is good enough for me. :D

I agree that these trailers are cool but it's like the controversial trailer for Dead Island, it probably is going to not live up to the drama set by the trailer at all. Honestly the stories in both Gears games have been so convoluted and generic that I never felt the need to remember them. The gameplay and atmosphere is really good in the Gears games but I have yet to find someone who can properly explain the story without sounding ridiculous
