Oh, excuse me. I was just here under my desk, weeping softly in the fetal position after watching the new Driver: San Francisco trailer from Ubisoft.  It seems that they like to bring back horrible memories that we might have previously been able to lock away like a corpse in an attic trunk. Making me watch new footage of the original Driver Garage Training Mission is akin to taking a victim of sexual assault to see The Accused.   And as much as I loved the original Driver, I think it's fairly safe to say that very few of us ever got over the experience of trying desperately to maneuver that garage with Ps1-era controls.

Damn you, Ubisoft. I know Driver: San Francisco is going to be great, but why must you do this to me? All that money on therapy sessions...wasted.

I thought that sequence was cool. But then again I played it on a PC, and it was like forever ago.

I also played it on PC, which at the time was pretty frustrating. But once you accomplished it, you felt like a Bad A**. Oh Yeahhh.

    Oh my god the rage...
Some of the worst controller throwing moments of my chidhood where from that sequence.

Oh God, the Driver training mission. Why must we relive this nightmare again.

Driver really is one of the most painful games I've ever played. I never did beat that garage slalom task. For moment like this, some people wait a life time.

TBH having played the new Driver game, the older PS1 game had much more responsive controls. The new game is like trying to steer a milk float stuck in a sponge pudding. You turn and nothing happens :/

If anything that brings back fond memories - i used to be able to ace the original drivers garage mission. Good times.

Bring it on garage. I'll even use my worn-out ps3 controller.

I was excited for this game until I got my hands on the demo. My biggest fear going in was how negatively shift would affect my opinion on the game.

In the end it was the way the cars handled is what put me off.

Driver was good back in the day when there were very few games with open-world driving stuff. Basically it was a GTA game, except there were no pedestrians and you couldn't exit your car.
It may have been over ten years since the last time I've played a Driver game, but I honestly don't see what this series can do differently this time around, especially since we've got games that do it ten times better, like Burnout and Need for Speed.

Pretty cool idea for a trailer.
