A new Driver: San Francisco dev diary has been releases discussing the players ability to jump from car to car at will. When I first heard of this mechanic I was worried about how this somewhat paranormal aspect would actually fit into the Driver universe, and If I didnt think it was full retard then, we're now learning that this ability is actually purchased through Will Points which are earned through good driving.

As absurd as this entire thing sounds, and as worried as I was...it works, and it works really, really well. During my hands-on time with the game at E3, the car-jumping mechanic added an extra layer of excitement to the single-player game, and an extra level of tactics to the multiplayer ones.  I stood there as all my worries melted away, and Driver: San Francisco bolted up to one of my most anticipated games of the year.

Good on Ubisoft Reflections for taking a risk, trying  something completely outside the box, and having its execution succeed with flying colors.

Jospeh, since you got a hands-on experience with the game, how did the handling of the cars feel? Was it heavy? Delayed? Did it have an arcade feel to it?
