Considering my current excitement level for Far Cry 3, I have no problem watching someone go through the E3 demo again, especially since this new playthrough shows an alternative path you can take to your objective.  The new route is a little more stealthy than the first, and shows off one of the games zip-lines which I have a feeling we may be seeing a lot of.

Check it out in the video below. In my opinion, Far Cry 2 was a game with a lot of great ideas held back by a few, yet major, design flaws. If Far Cry 3 can correct those flaws, we're looking at a game that I can easily masturbate to. Teeth gritted, eyes bloodshot and angry,  foaming at the mouth until I spew great white ropes of pearly-morning doo all over my HD TV.

damn I think that looked cool, it looks like it's shaping up pretty well, and showing that there are many options to approach each situation, and actual A.I and feedback in shooting.
far cry 2 looked kind of bland too so I'm glad they've put it back in a jungle setting.
what is also super cool..no jellyvision <w< (at least from the demo)

I never got to play the original Far Cry before. The only one I got to play was Far Cry 2 and I enjoyed it very much. The third one seems to go back a bit to the first one. But I'm definitely interested nonetheless when this game comes out.

Skillpoints and a loot system it looks like, not bad at all, this game is really shaping up.

Alternate paths are a step in the right direction for any game.

You're right. FarCry 2 did have excellent ideas. They were just executed poorly in a few spots, and like you said, some design flaws. When watching the trailers for FarCry 2, I couldn't help but think that it was going to be one of the best games ever. I was wrong. But should FarCry 3 do what its predecessor couldn't, then maybe it will be the game I had in mind. One thing I already see that's good is you can see underwater!
