Even though E3 is a celebration of all things Video Game, and an exciting look into the future of the past time we love, it can also be a prime source for the very ridiculous. Game companies go through extraordinary lengths to pimp themselves out during this time, creating what is really a week long love letter to the media and fans. Sometimes, however, this letter can sound as if it's being written by a complete psychopath.
The video below compiles some of the more laughable moments of E3 2011, but I should stress that in retrospect it really only covers some of them. Yes E3 is that big...and sometimes that ridiculous.

I wish E3 went back to being about video games and not about gimmicks and soulless people on stage. Too many people go on stage and try to use their "Charisma" to please the audience. The Audience just wants to see some fantastic fucking games.
Also Ubisoft needs to ditch that guy and hire Joel McHale again, or at least someone with the talent of Ed Helms. They need comedy since their presentations are usually horrible and boring, even for series like Assassin's Creed. I mean if you are going to present your pride and joy to the world, you need to really get the audience pumped. Ubisoft never does that.

That's right, for the first time ever, Need for Speed will feature quick time eve- I mean, high speed, pulse pounding chase sequences on foot.
Bravo, EA.

I saw those Kinect failures a mile away, man.

I honestly don't know what the hell Microsoft, and even Sony to an extent, is thinking with these motion controlled games. Who are they aiming at? I have a lot of friends that are serious about video games... and not a single one of them gives a fuck about Kinect or Move. The games they showcased were terrible. Why are they trying to market towards casuals and children? Makes me sad to see the industry come to this.

It hurts to even just listen to the video.

That Ubisoft douchebage is gonna haunt my dreams

That was cringe worthy.
I don't think that e3 was as bad as this video makes it out to be. it just looks plain awful with all of these worst moments put together.

What about the Sonic conference?
13 years, 5 months ago
Oh wow, I had to repeatedly turn away just to make it through the video. I remember a LOT of those moments from when I watched 'em live, and I could barely stand them then. Seeing them again, all smooshed together like that, was terrible, haha.

That time warp really caught me off guard. XD

e3 sure doesnt have the same respect as it once did for both the gaming press and its consumers. Does Microsoft really think the 40 year old moms who buy Kinect are watching an E3 press conference? Its like putting a rape simulator ride at Disneys Magic Kingdom.

Time Warp was just down right bizarre O.o

What were the people in charge ever thinking? Weren't there test screenings or something to prevent or improve these sketches?

i think my favrate moments were "good shoot jermy" "good job jermy" "great job jermy" but the kids playing kinect was cirng worthy

My god, the press conferences this year we're terrible, the only one i didn't cringe at was Nintendo's, but theirs wasn't particularly amazing either. This year's E3 was a disapointment for me, well, as far as press conferences go.

Surprised at the lack of Kobe playing the move and repeatedly saying how realistic it is, and not moving at all.

The only thing that could have saved Microsofts press conference was a confused nick henderson being felt up by cirque du soleil performers D

Ugh, I hate child actors so annoying. "Fistpump!" *Cringes*

Oh.... no Captain Hoooooooook. Honestly the Star Wars game on Kinect would have interested me a lot more if the path of the lightsaber were actually cutting through the droids, then involving a bit of physics. Similar to what MGS: Rising looks like it's doing.
