If you read our review of Duke Nukem Forever yet still feel the need to give it a go, there is an easier solution than putting down $60 to satisfy a case of morbid curiosity.  A Duke Nukem Forever demo is now available on the Xbox 360 and PC for all players who either want to see what finally happens at the end of 15 years of development, or just like to slow down on the freeway when they see an accident.

Gearbox has stated that a demo release for the PSN is still being worked out. "We are working with Sony to get the demo out [for PlayStation 3] as soon as possible too," added a post on the studio's blog.

So here's your chance to finally see what all the hoopla is about! Your chance to see what led a PR Company to be fired by 2K games. Your chance to be part of history!

Remember. Always bet on disappointment.

Don't worry, I do trust your review but...
I guess I'm the 'likes to slow down on the freeway when they see an accident,' kind of person.
This plus I told my mum that its AMAZING, and she loves Duke Nukem so I just wanna see her reaction.

The game's gotten shitty reviews across the board, so why would anyone even bother?!

Conish because people have been waiting a long fucking time for this game to come out, that's why. I can't even recall how many games that have received shit reviews but after playing them for myself they turn out to be rather enjoyable, albeit slightly flawed, but hey, perfection is boring.
Don't suppose you like to let other people make your decisions and decide everything for you? Live a little.

I gotta be honest, the game was good. It was kinda halo all fancied up, but I really enjoyed it. It depends soley on the person whos playing the game. I personally belive duke nukem forever died back when the 2001 version didnt get released, but its always a pleasure visiting an old friend

Honestly, not interested in playing this game in the slightest. I don't hate the game, I've never played it so I have no opinion, but I've never been particularly interested in Duke Nukem and that hasn't changed in these past 15 years.

I dared. The first time I launched the PC demo it crashed. This game sucks to the core.

When there's a demo out for the PS3, I'll give it a shot, but I don't hold my expectations too high for it lol. It's worth a shot, though.

I turned that shit off shortly after I heard Duke make a completely pointless and confusing Commando reference, which was shortly after that godawful driving sequence. I then deleted that shit of my hard drive and played some Duke Nukem 3D. I think its pretty interesting that Duke Nukem 3D takes up less space than the demo for Duke Nukem Forever, but is infinitely better.

I question why Gearbox even put this out, they have to be losing money, right? Maybe not as much as 3D Realms did, or 2K, or whoever, but all that advertising, and development time must of cost a fair amount. Hopefully so much that Randy Pitchford never even THINKS about making another Duke Nukem game (although, early reports suggests more is on the way for fucks sake).

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't give a shit about Duke Nukem Forever, just finish Aliens: Colonial Marines GODDAMMIT.

Anyone considering downloading the demo, please don't even bother downloading the XBL one. It is a horrible PC port that should've been pushed back. I can't speak for pc users though.

I tried it. Always best to give things a whirl yourself, right?

I now have a gig-and-a-half of my system's memory back. It almost feels like a little reward.
