The team over at Ubisoft Reflections have released a developer diary for their upcoming game Driver San Francisco.  For your money you'll get some background on the main characters, cut-scene chicanery, and some history of the series itself.

The more I play Driver: San Francisco the more I want it. Seriously. At E3 2011 we really saw the game finally coming together with a great story mode, and a multiplayer that is fun as all hell.

August 30, 2011 is when you'll get to play it with us.

Found the diary very interesting. I honestly can't wait for this game to come out, I really enjoyed the other games. And I'm interested what this game can bring to the plate.

He better be careful, a crash at those speeds might put him in a coma.

DRIVER 3 (DRIV3R) is one of my favorite games of all time, I love it, it was a new experience back then to be able to drive across a city with absolute freedom, it was great and I have been waiting for this game for a very long time.

I find it hard to believe a vehicle game like this can be successfully intertwined with a great story, especially if this game features racing. I find it even harder to believe that a game like this could survive without the inclusion of racing.. something which ruins the vibe of the story indefinitely already.

    I'm just doubtful.
