Full Modern Warfare 3 trailer released

And I still don't feel like playin this at all

Alright we get it Activision, you're going to different countries during the game. Woohoo, hasnt been done before. This is gonna be the exact same shit over and over again for 8 hours.

Uh yeah ok, am I supposed to be excited about this? Just another game with guns and shit blowing up, I don't expect to go Zaeed up in this bitch to this game other than Bad Company 2.

And how is this going to be any different than Black Ops? 5 or 6 'different' guns that are basically reskins and bear no difference function-wise? 3 or 4 bare-bones new gameplay features? Amazingly innovative online support? Off the charts sound design? A point system where every footstep gives you +50? A great single-player plot that hasn't been explored 5 times over already? A mic-detecting function where if your voice is above a certain pitch or sounds squeaky, it mutes you?

When will these yearly releases end?

I want to play this only for the boat sequence.

I can honestly say that this is the first time I haven't been even remotely excited by a CoD game trailer. Right up until Black Ops I was there but this? I think my heart rate actually slowed down.

Granted, it's the night of the trailer's reveal and I very well may be swayed by soemthing the multiplayer has, so long as there ARE changes and additions but you know what? I really don't expect that.

I think the shooter for me this year will be Battlefield 3 and that's it. You were fun, CoD, but this is where we part.

Its amazing how fucked and changed a series can get. I mean COD now to COD then is shockingly different design.

I may pick this up, but Battlefield has always been far more interesting to me. MW2 was just a complete shit-storm of a game, and I'm expecting about the same from this.

I don't see the point of all the COD hate. Sure, no game in the series has been perfect but even with its MANY flaws I still got my money's worth out of MW2, and i still play BO every now and again. Treyarch pointed the series in the right direction balance wise, with a bit of fine tuning the game could be a blast.
And even if it blows, BF3 is there :D

A lot of shooting, explosions, and the Inception "BWAA" it seems. Chances are MW3 will be very similar to the last two MW games and plenty of people will buy and enjoy it, but at this point I really want to see something different. I'm pretty tired of the COD formula. Who knows though, it could still end up being fun.

The level of "I don't give a fuck" is so unprecedented right now, it's staggering.

Those are nice, over-the-top scripted events and all, but where exactly is the gameplay?

Truly, Joseph, you are a master wordsmith. Your thought provoking and in-depth analysis of this fine trailer, however, pales in comparison to the trailer itself. Masters from all four corners of this planet must have come together in order to forge such an amazing and mysterious trailer for what will surely be the greatest game, not only of this year, but of this decade. Bravo, Activision, bravo.

For some reason, I always get the chills when I see those little "pun" things. WW3. Then the first W flips upside down and it turns into MW3. I got the same feeling when I saw the "IV" in the opening of Oblivion and thought "Oh. IV. Cause it's Elder Scrolls IV". Then it zooms out and it turns out that the IV was part of the word Oblivion.

The game itself though? Meh.

So are only countries with E's in the name being invaded, or were those just the ones listed. That seems too organized for world domination. Anyhoo I certainly wonder what the gameplay is going to be like...

doesnt even look like the graphics have changed all that much....I couldnt help but think how some of the stuff in this video just made me want BF3 even more. That constant sound in the video that isnt even nearly as good as BF3, also the buildings coming down and all....

I know MW3 takes a lot of shit, but at least when you buy the game, you know what your getting: An epiclly re-hashed singleplayer, and a fun multiplayer. Also, COD is defininitely one of the smoothest shooters I've played, and even though its just a re-hash, it should be a good game.

I wonder what the singleplayer and multiplayer is gonna be like...

Looks pretty dam good, most of the guns have been either remodeled or have better detail added to them. Definite buy even though it takes shit for no reason.

And this proves one of two things. Either the new Infinity Ward is regurgitating the exact same formula as before, except with a early CoD "roam the world" campaign, or the media department still thinks people get some strange pleasure from explosions and blood.

Does anyone else think its weird they asked us to preorder before we even saw a a real trailer with in game perspective, im not a fan of this series.

The games looks really, really average with nice set pieces. I am sure this will be a good rental for me and everyone else will buy it and be upset with there purchase 2 weeks later. In short, CoD is dead but hey this will be okay for just shooting shit.

I'm sure the game will be fine. It will have all the stuff that made previous installments popular and maybe some additions. Its just the fact that...well I could play another modern day FPS or in 3 days I could play Skyrim... SKYRIM!

I'm sure you'd probly hate it, but you need it, you're probly one of those conservative people that wouldnt sell your car even though it doesnt run anymore and it's just a piece of rusty metal, just because you had some adventures in the past.
I have to say; I dont understand the appeal of the call of duty games, nor their audience of adhd kids who only play the multiplayer and no other games, or the people like carlos jokes bout being; someone who just likes explosions and to shoot bros.
and thus theres nothing for me to collect here, I played the story mode for cod 3 and up, and I havent felt like I've gotten something new from either of them; battlefield did modern warfare before modern warfare (and mw2 is just that plus michael bay), battlefield did vietnam before world at war, it even did special operations before black ops, and better.
not only is it a rehash, but a rehash of dated and pretty flawed game design speaking for the singleplayer, corridor shooting and scripted sequences arent super exciting now that I'm older than 15.
in conclusion, I dont give a shit, and I hope more people dont give a shit so they can turn out something original with the billion dollar budget and manpower they have.

Honestly, it'll probably be a good game but definitely not a full price. I'm getting the feeling people are getting tired of COD, so this might be the year people turn to battlefield. It'll be interesting to see the sales comparison between BF3 and MW3 at the end of the year.

The trailer did look pretty cool, though I wouldn't call it a war... more like anarchy and chaos. Its really about the multiplayer anyway. And at this point with MW1, MW2, Black Ops... what else can they add to it?

I've been a fan of the COD MW games more than the rest of the COD games, I even skipped Black Ops last year. I will probably just rent the game just to finish up the campaign, because since the last game ended in a cliffhanger, I have an urge to keep going.

I'll probably only rent this though, I've enjoyed what I've seen from Battlefield 3 more than this trailer, and with Skyrim coming out around that time, Bethesda wins.

Yay another MW game.......sarcasm is awesome. It's warfare...in a modern setting....what more can we expect at this point really. CoD 4 was amazing but at this point it just seems like they're beating a dead horse. Infinity Ward has moved on (in a manner of speaking) and I think Activision should as well. Also, BoredDG, I really, really hope we don't see spac3 lol.

Other than the scuba section (if you even have any control during it and it isn't a hands off in engine cutscene) this is nothing I haven't seen/done before. The stories in Call of Duty have never really been great. I'll end up getting it because I'll play online with some friends and I feel dirty even getting it for that. Unless something really new happens it'll just be more of the same.

How many times can Infinity Ward sell the same game? Every year they sale the same game and every year it's a giant hit.
