Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced that their 3rd person survival horror-hoopla extravaganza, Shadow of the Damned, will be launching on June 21st. The original date, June 7th, was smack-dab at the end of E3 while everyone is too tired to do to anything else other than sit on a plane.

In case you're still wondering why you should be interested in this game, some of the names involved with its creation are Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil), Suda 51 (No More Heroes) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill composer who will be doing the music). And if that's not enough then there is simply no hope for you.

Check out some of the latest screenshots below.

I'm excited, great people are making this. Suda 51 is one of my favorites, I loved them since I discovered Killer 7. I may buy a console just for this game.

Does want. Hopefully I can save enough for it by then. I am a little concerned that it will just turn out to be a crappy version of Resident Evil 4, but with a whole lot more personality.

As soon as this was first announced I was onboard and even though it makes me sad it'll be delayed a bit, a week or 2 isn't going to kill anything. That'll just give me a bit more time to work through my back catalog some more... so many games...

Apparently there's a monster in the game that rips its own heart out and then eats it to transform into an entirely different monster. Oh Suda. You so crazy.

One of my most anticipated games of the year? This party's getting crazy.
