Sucker Punch has unleashed the beta test details for its user-generated content component in inFamous 2. You have from now until March 21 to sign up for the beta here. Of course they won't be accepting everyone so do yourself a favor and jump on this ASAP. The people chosen will be notified in "early April" by the development studio.
You'll also have to register for the site and all that hoopla which is understandable I suppose, and I'm sure you can't wait to read the sweaty love letters you get sent.
As an additional bonus Sucker Punch will be choosing the best user-generated content and providing them with the game as "Sucker Punch Selections" when the game is released. So not only can you get into the beta, you have the chance of having your handywork spread far and wide. I wouldn't expect a revenue check though...always read the fine print.

I hear Infamous 2's city is modeled after New Orleans. Probably accurately just as dangerous. I live around there and hear a lot of news, some of my friends where mugged, and so on. If you are heading to New Orleans by chance do be careful.

So would the beta tester have the whole world in infamous 2 to create a mission or would it be more of a "mini-section" of the map to work on only?

Doesn't hurt to give it a go. A lot of times I don't play around with creation tools because they just take too long but I always find them intriguing.

the beta is in the US and EU, not just US. Not sure about Canada...
The tools might take a bit of playing with but you'll get it and once you do you'll be able to create missions quickly.
