With rumors circulating about the time and place of GTA V, people are starting to wonder how great it would be to see Vice City given a fresh coat of paint. Modding teams Vice City Rage and Vice IV have begun to implement that vision using the GTA IV modding tools to recreate the 2002 game for the 2011 era. You can see from the videos below that the mod is still in the very early stages but so far it's looking pretty good, and hopefully they can get something usable released before GTA V comes out to steal the thunder from just about everything.

Now that's fucking awesome. But if GTA V IS a redone Vice City, wouldn't these guys get sued, or something?

That's pretty cool, but I'd like to see RockStar do a new location.
And maybe a new way of story telling, more Scarface/Goodfella's then previous games, and Vice City is the closest they went to that.

Looks good! Best GTA IV mod I've seen is the hi-texture mod or whatever its called.
