We've spent countless writing and podcast hours espousing the wonders of the Bayonetta combat system, but it's still amazing to see it used to perfection.  You can see this perfection below where some unknown individual defeats the secret boss in super-duper hard mode without being hit once.  It's truly a sight to behold and really exhibits exactly what we were talking about.

It is a shame that the quality is not a little better, but you get the idea.

For anyone wondering what the Japanese at the beginning read:

    "Restrictions:

    1. No Jumping
    2. The only accessory used is "Gaze of Despair".
    3. No Damage
    4. Only weapon used is Scarborough Fair"

As someone who can't wait to finish slogging through hard mode, when my 360 is fixed, this is incredible. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, anyone who's even played the game once can appreciate how incredibly difficult that is. Having stopped halfway through my hard mode run I can't even imagine doing that.

i wonder how many tries this took to get 100% no damage.I would think it must have been a bitch to get the boss down to its last bar then maybe getting hit once ( that is if that happened ). Anyway DAMN THATS AWESOME!

Shit, this is great. Most people that I've seen manage to kill this boss without damage or pure platinum it just spam them some Pillow Talk. But just the guns and that one accessory? Fantastic, utterly fantastic. And a pretty cool rhythm with the way that everything works out in the end.

All it is is proper timed dodges and Wicked Weave spamming, it's not THAT extreme.

Oh do I still remember clearing Bayonetta in Non-Stop Infinite Climax mode a while ago, and it sure was hell.

Now talk about beating one of the hardest bosses on any hack 'n' slash game in existence with only the default weapons and without losing health. That's some dedication right there.

I was gonna say something about how doing a boss fight without taking damage doesn't really show off a game's awesome fighting system, as it showcases a player who has too much time on their hands and a good memory (ie, the dissapearing platforms and "you can't see the spikes at the end of this blind jump until .003 seconds before you die" in mega mans games of yore didn't take skill to pass, they took memory)

BUT seeing combos in action, yeah its a very good show case.

Though I think showcasing some of theNon stop climax vids would've been cooler

Meh, I'm pretty sure I could do this, I mean, it doesn't look that hard, and Bayonetta was a pretty easy game
