The psychological action thriller from Shinji Mikami and Suda 51 will be arriving sometime in June. This is according to Shinji Mikami himself who has made the announcement at an EA Press Conference.
"[Shadows of the Damned] is our vision of hell, taking gamers on a journey through a demented underworld," said Mikami as he stylishly sipped whiskey on stage. What a dude. We're (Suda and himself) both big fans of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, and Shadows of the Damned is similar to that Grindhouse style, with our own punk edge," he added. "It's really unique and really quite different to any other action horror games."
Stylish and over-the-top demon slaying with a touch for the weird and fantastical in that way that only Suda51 can produce? Yes please! In fact, do not stop shoveling that wonderful essence into my mouth even if I beg you to stop. Even if I beg. Especially since Akira Yamaoka, Sound Designer for the Silent Hill series, is also working on the game.

The combination of Mikami, Suda and Yamaoka make this a must play immediately, but why'd it have to be near the same time as Catherine? Curse this thing we call money.

Hmm and I was just looking for some news on the title. Can't get much better than an actual release date.
