You heard right.  Last night at GDC Double Fine announced its third downloadable title, an XBLA Mech Combat game.  It looks to be third person action game with (possible?) multiplayer thrown in. The story seems campy, the explosions seem glorious, and god-damn if I won't welcome another mech game in this world.

In other words...it looks to be perfect in every possible way. Leave it to Double Fine to run the complete gambit of genres within three games. From childlike RPG, to old-timey puzzle game, to giant mech combat game.

If I had the ability to have sex with a game development studio it would be Double Fine. I would slam them long and hard in their naughtiest of bits. Sorry Ps3 owners, right now this seems to be an XBLA only title. You'll have to find your own studio to swap spit with.

As a wise man once said " I can´t let an erection get in the way of my video games" , but this looks like the exception .

I'm okay with not being able to play it. My genitals have remained neutral.

You know, I'm never truly excited about a game until I am reassured with the position of Joseph's penis.

Yay! Another mech game! There aren't enough of those in the world, nor are there enough flight simulation games that are good out there. ^_^; I'm definitely looking forward to this...though I'm not sure I would go and have sex with it...

This oddly reminds me of a mixture of S.L.A.I. and Steambot Chronicles, both in the customisation, appearances and control.

For anyone curious. Steambot Chronicles is a sandbox type RPG with a giant robot that controls slightly like a Katamari, except with weapons... Yes, hard to wrap your mind around that, rent it.

As for S.L.A.I. It's a highly competitive, very fun and smoothly paced arena giant robot fighter with some simplistic but very rewarding customisation.

It just looks like a generic war game to me.

Oh wait, did you say Double Fine is making it!? Well that changes everything!

It looks like it will be an overrated generic war game.

Been a while since I've seen a mech game like this. Should be fun. I like the customization and really hope that it doesn't just go "This one is stronger than the next which is outclassed by this, etc"
Keeping fingers crossed for multiplayer. Mechs and multiplayer just go together so well.

This looks like a great co-op game. I think. I'm just hoping that's what it turns out to be.

Im not even gonna lie this looked awesome when Brad linked it from the feed. He didn't seem to excited about it, he didn't say much other than "yeah...double fine...making a mech game...." but idgaf, this looks awesome.

Graphics remind me of Snoopy Flying Ace. I'll get it as long as it's under 1200msp, otherwise my friends won't buy it.

Game looks like it'll be a blast, too bad i dont have a 360, but i'm sure it'll end up on the feed sometime after it's release so i'll still get to see Double Fine's take on the genre.
