Playstation Blog has announced that The PSOne era RPG Xenogears is coming to the US PSN this Tuesday. Of course its been on the Japanese PSN since 2008, but for those of us who haven't made a Japanese PSN account because we're lazy, it's good news.
I've never played Xenogears myself. I distincly remember being in a Toys R' Us trying to decide if I wanted to buy it or not. Unfortunately, at the time monetary concerns took priority and I left the story empty handed. A sad and dejected young man. Now I can correct the past! And you can too if you've suffered the same fate as I.

yeah... I couldn't finish this game. I played it long after it came out and wanted to see what the fuss was about and it just couldn't keep me engaged. I got maybe 1/3 of the way through the first disc.

Now Im waiting for when the EU psn will get this and the many other great classics that are on the US and JP psn rather than "Lilo and Stitch" and "40 Winks"... god, why is the EU psn such sh*t!?

PSN is getting so many awesome PS1 classics, wish the Wii's virtual console released more awesome games. Havent bought a game on that since Ogre Battle 64 last year.

I'm in the UK and am such a fan of Xenogears that I picked up a US PS2 just so I could import a real copy.
I love hearing news like this but know i'll probably never see this released on my native store, which is a major bummer. More people should at least play this, regardless of if they think it's as amazing as me and others feel it is, it's just unlike any other JRPG with it's themes and style.
