Team Ninja has released a teaser trailer for Ninja Gaiden III. It's a short one with no gameplay but the developer is promising that all will be revealed at this upcoming E3, as well as a playable demo. We'll be sure to have coverage of that when we head to LA ourselves.

The game is currently set for release in 2012 and marks the first installment in the series that is led by Yosuke Hayashi, the Leader of Team NINJA. The developer promises the game "will take fans on an epic journey as they discover a side of their hero that has never been revealed."

For now, revel yourselves in the gritty trailer.

I look forward to getting my ass kicked and becoming frustrated to the point I stop playing the game for long periods of time (months).

I really hope this turns out good. I loved the first Ninja Gaiden but the second was very "meh" in my opinion(it had good combat but was broken in so many areas). So fingers crossed.

Hmmmmm, all the most recent Ninja Gaidens feel the same, I hope they bring something new to this one.
