Billy Mitchell, the man every gamer loves to hate, has done something that even the hardest gamer heart can appreciate. He opened up an arcade. Located in the Orlando International Airport, the arcade has a classically retro look and will be a great place to spend the time while waiting for your flight which has inevitably been delayed. For once I'll have somewhere to go in an airport other than the bar.

Check out a homemade video of the arcade below.

Stupid...-ly Awesome! I wish someone in our town would make a game store like this. The most I can look forward to is the Play n Trade here...

I don't know what it is. Is it really an arcade or is it just another ego-booster for Mr. Mitchell? You decide.

heh pretty funny. I actually see Billy Mitchell like every month or so. The McDonald's I work(ed (don't work anymore)) at for some reason was close to where his son played baseball or some shit.

I always try to make his experience shitty. :D here's some examples:

-I've given him decaff instead of regular coffee
    -not gave him nonfat milk
    -some other stuff

He's only intimating to people cause he's pretty tall.

I was expecting it to be bigger.. and filled with classic games. Not wall art of classic games. I'm not particularly interested in going to yet another arcade that lacks addicting, time-wasters. Aside from the basketball games, there's nothing with any actual substance in that arcade. '

Yeah, how can it be "King of Kong" without an arcade of the original Donkey Kong?

I cant help but be disappointed with the arcade...I mean he was in, turned and that was the end of the tour. It's soo small, I mean for any arcade really.....it's the smallest I've seen

The reasons why people hate Billy Mitchell seems to be two-fold:
    1) He's arrogant. Granted perhaps he has some right to be given how many records he does and has held.
    2) In King of Kong, the way he got the record back was pretty damn hypocritical. They force Steve Wiebe to set the record in person where they can all see. And then Billy responds by sending a VHS with a video flaw that could arguably be an edit and they accept it.

At first I was optimistic and could have said something like "I want you arcade." But after hearing shit about Billy Mitchell. I would appreciate the arcade room somewhere in this small very relaxing but boring town. But not from a person like Billy Mitchell, And also if he is known for holding a record of a certain game, Why not have the game!

Yes, it's kinda cool that the arcade has a Donkey Kong aesthetic and was made by Billy Mitchell. However, this arcade to me seems to be missing something, the games.

Billy's arcade reminds me of Monty Pythons' cheese shop sketch. There seems to be a lack of good games especially Donkey Kong and Pacman. The games Mitchell made his name on. Their as much an arcade as the game area in any super Walmart lol.

I'd give it a year before it shuts down.

For those wondering where the Billy hate comes from, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQZ9wXO8RVs.

But an arcade is always cool. I wonder how long it'll be around.
