I haven't talked a lot about Hyperdimension Neptunia yet but I'm going to start. The premise entails sexualized anime girls, who are actually personified video game companies and consoles, fighting against an evil force in a world called...wait for it...Gamindustri.
It's brilliant and wonderful at the same time in that it entails two things I've known well in my life. Video games and sexual frustration. I haven't been this excited for a game since I shelled out 60 bucks for a boob mouse pad and a copy of Record of Agarest War. If, by chance, you want to ride this anime gravy train with me, you'll be happy to know that a Premium Edition is going to be available for this PS3 exclusive. Just 60 bucks gets you:
- Hyperdimension Neptunia PS3
- Hardcover, full-color art book
- Hyperdimension Neptunia Premium Edition package art
- Bonus Item: Official Neptunia CPU Playing Cards
Playing cards! What better way to enter your grandmothers cribbage tournament than with a set of cards featuring sexual anime girls titillating your every move!
The game is released for PS3 on February 15th

I was always interested in the concept of the game, but whenever I hear Idea Factory, Compile Heart and/or GUST... I get a little apprehensive.
Same goes for another game called Jikan de Fantasia or Jikandia.

I can't help but wonder why this idea was never acted upon sooner. I mean.. Green Heart.. totally the Xbox 360. Black Heart, totally the PS3. I'm not totally sure about White Heart over 'der, but I'll just assume the Wii. Absolutely no clue about the Purple Heart though.
It's fun just thinking about this whole thing. So cool. Too bad it's PS3 exclusive. Maybe they'll port it to the 360 like they did with Record of Agarest War.

Ironically enough, yesterday I decided that I'm probably gonna buy this at launch.

Okay, since no one seems to be answering this...
Neptune was supposed to be Sega's next system in their console line before they quit making consoles. It was going to be a color scheme of black/purple.

Is the final boss Bobby Kotick?

They had me at Alex Kidd as a summon. That's fucking brilliant.

Surprised this gets a look in from the 4pp but glad it did. Unfortunately I don't think Europe gets the premium edition...which I REALLY want...I have the option of importing and missing out on the dlc that I know of...or sacrifice an art book and playing cards for more in game content (in form of dlc) :( Difficult decisions. BTW I recall that the playing cards are very limited and only available by preordering from the NIS America store.

And this game shows you the reasons why it's awesome to own multiple consoles.
It's a veritable harem... of gaming.

You know, last year I would've thought that it would be David doing the write up for this game instead of Joseph.
to this date it still surprises me that Joseph is into this kind of thing.
Not that I'm complaining though :D
