Game Informer recently met with Mark Lampert to discuss the music in the much anticipated Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It's a great interview and we get to hear some of the new theme variations found in the new game.  I'm really loving the new music. Especially the main theme with the Nordic chanting sung, I'm imagining, by a gang of Techno Vikings.

Plus it's Skyrim information, and we're going to be slobbering up any of that we can get for the next nine months.

I love how techno viking is actually a visual reference point on the sheet at 0:33

I don't know if it's because I just woke up or what, but the chanting vikings were a little scary. Everything else was somewhat soothing. Cannot wait to hear more about Skyrim.

I am so hyped for Skyrim. I think I have never been looking forward to a game more than I am looking forward to TES5.

Liking the Nordic sound, but hope they still have some of the celtic style ambient music of the last game

Sounds nice, major improvement from recent music in their games. As much as I hate all Bethesda games, I'm willing to give this one a huge chance.

Still this day, I get goosebumps from the Morrowind theme. So happy that they based Skyrim's theme on Morrowind's style than Oblivion.

I am now going to play and beat Morrowind and Oblivion. Then I am going to watch all 3 LOTR movies. Say farewell to my social life.

I like the chanting/chorus, I feel like it makes the theme more rough and adventurous but still mystifying.

...Wow, I believe I have been left speechless, the jump from the Morrowind theme to the Skyrim theme is certainly a good one! There's just so much power and emotion put into the new theme and it feels really hits you on another level.

I'm really digging how Bethesda is going with a more inspired and focused theme with Skyrim, compared to the loose "general fantasy" settings in their past games. this keeps looking better and better.

The piece at 1:11 I believe was in Oblivion, but now there are a lot more drums in it.
