Uncharted 3 Revealed with Teaser Trailer

Now i wonder when they mention Drake's Deception, is he going to turn bad? This really piques my interset.

As much as I enjoyed Uncharted 2, I don't think I need another.

Awesome! I think however this will be the only trailer I watch for Uncharted 3.

Don't get me wrong I loved uncharted 2 and was still blown away - but my mind went in (to quote Sheldon Cooper) 'pre-blown'. I had already seen so many of the set pieces and knew so much about the story that I can't help but think how much more i would have enjoyed an already phenominal game if i had just left all that information untouched. So yea - media black out for me.

If Uncharted was a movie series instead of a video game series, I would be seriously concerned about it seeming to be more of the same.

However, considering what a vast improvement Among Thieves was over Drake's Fortune in terms of gameplay and the outright fun I had from start to finish, I can't help but be excited for this.

(I predict now that the final boss is going to be a pain in the ass to kill, to the point of not being fun anymore)

Well, gotta admit that I am looking forward to it. But my dreams of Uncharted: Atlantis have been swept away by a sandstorm. Even worse is that went to the complete OPPOSITE side of the spectrum by placing it in a location where water is scarce.

But anyway, new screens have surfaced as well as the placeholder box-art, looking pretty noice. Will be very interesting to see what Naughty Dawg does with sand.

Ah, well, I'm not complaining...but my wallet is. Yet another (at least) $65 to shell out for another game next year. D:

Man, that trailer was so disappointing! I mean, we already "knew" Uncharted 3 was in the works, and hearing Nolan North's voice say one line was not the spectacular reveal I was hoping for. But wait! Now that I think about it, it was a great trailer. Sully's revolver and cigar? "All men dream, but not equaly."? Are Drake and Sully going to disagree with something? Is perhaps Sully the final boss? I can't wait for A GT Pop-block or IGN rewind theatre.

I was a big fan of the first Uncharted.
Uncharted 2 was a big letdown for me.
Based on the desert setting this looks less exciting.
I also do not like Drakes face redesign.
Atleast you know this is gonna be top quality game.

The Uncharted series is the single greatest thing to come out of this generation of consoles. Im so excited.

Looks like Drake gets in some sort of crash and is stranded in a hostile environment...again.

Hopefully Sully will get a bigger part this time. UC2 didn't have enough Sully.

I don't know why but I think that in this game Nathan will go after the Fountain of Youth.

i feel bad for this game....if it doesnt live up to the scale and story.gameplay of uncharted 2, than its gonna be horrible.....its like seeing the movie Dark Knight and praying that the next movie would be even better, but can it? I'm not so sure.

@DesperadoDesp I see it as them opening it up with Drake and someone turning different ways or something. Like how Drake and Elena were magically split up between 1 and 2.

@M2D Same. I watched some of Uncharted 2 on JTV and never spoiled the ending but I saw some parts near the end like the creatures and other environment. I think I'll stick to some trailers and pick this up first day and no review reading for me.

@GregTheKeg I found both Uncharted bosses pretty BS. Although for some reason I was lucky enough to beat the 2nd boss on Brutal within 30 minutes probably by sheer luck.

@Erica Lee Soon? Uncharted 2 came out 09. And according to Amazon this is set to come out on Dec 1st of 2011.

@AtLeer Its a teaser trailer. Most teaser trailers are just supposed to do that. Tease a game.

@Al Have no idea how you were disappointed going from 1st to 2nd. 1st was just jungle all over and doods in hallways. 2nd was much more diverse and all around better. And that image of Drakes face before you clicked the story was for Uncharted 1 concept art.

@Warpedpixel Its been said already he's going after a lost city in the desert called the Atlantis of the Sands or something. Sounds like an excuse to have you fighting mummies.

@CrossOutlaw I can see it being just as good. I just don't see it as being as big a jump from 1 to 2. 1 was a good game but going from 2 to 1 like I did it was pretty mediocre compared to the 2nd. I'm sure Naughty Dog can pull it off.

I'm looking forward to it a lot. Just played through 1 since it was $10 on Black Friday. Not as great as the 2nd like I said. I think I might just need to play through Uncharted 2 for a 5th time. Also the multiplayer sounds like its going to be better. I touched the multiplayer of the 2nd barely just for the trophies. If it can keep good numbers sure.

Can't wait.

Well, I guess this sort of confirms Uncharted as gaming's brand new flagship series, especially Sony's (right next to Metal Gear). Funny though, the whole success of the series was pretty sudden. Not that I'm complaining though, those two pictures they released together with the trailer really got me hyped for some reason. Can't wait.

On the other: What if it gets rushed out to coincide with the movie's release?

The main thing I thought was meh on Drake 2 was the weirdness of the re-introduction of the first game's girl, and the fact Drake seemed oblivious of his first game experiances. Really it was that one introduction that felt like a blow to the head that yes, this is a Final Fantasy styled series, while teasing that in some way the first game IS connected.

I do hope that the climbing gets easier, I am an airhead when it comes to trying to see how I do jumps, climb, and so on. Seriously get weird cases of jumping at walls to see if they were climbable, when they were not.

To be really, horribly blunt...I kinda hate Drake. Smartass wouldn't shut the hell up and kept Weldon'ing left right and centre, funny at first but the relentless verbal diarrhea irritated by the end.
