Cliff Bleszinski took to G4 to talk about the multiplayer component of Bulletstorm, the upcoming over-the-top shooter being developed by People Can Fly and published by Epic.
Not only is this game looking pretty great but I think it looks more outlandish (in a good way) every time I see it. Look at all those numbers flying around! I thought that was a great game idea when it was in Borderlands and this is looking so much more intense. Splattering a dude into 10 pieces and seeing a bunch of score numbers fly out seems like one of the most satisfying things in the world.

"All the first-person shooters these days seem like they're very serious like 'War... War never changes' or 'War has changed... There's new red-dot sights... There's slo-mo and explosions'. Yeah that's great and all, but Bulletstorm is like 'You know what, F that, here's a boot in the face, shoot people in the genitals and have fun with it', and that's what it's all about"
I'm actually starting to like Cliffy B now.
Their special effects artist made a blog post a while ago saying that everything in the game explodes when you shoot at it, except for bottles of booze and plants.
I just hope they put in exploding chairs, like the ones in Goldeneye.

I was more interested in it when I thought the game was called People can fly.

Daaaaamn, I want this game, looks like unreal mixed with borderlands mixed with pure awesomeness, and it just looks like an all around varied and fun shooter^^
I also hope Cliffy takes some of that attitude into the new gears, as he straight up complains about serious shooters in the industry in this video

I am loving Bulletstorm's "fun" approach to FPS's, we need more these days.
