El Molesto is NOT pleased.  Originally, those who pre-ordered Lucha Libre AAA were going to be graced with the greatest pre-order bonus yet offered to gamers.  The life-long gift of a Luchador Mask.  Yes! They would be inducted into the Luchador ranks the very moment that piece of magical fabric graced their faces.  Like a grand army awakening, the reverberations of that moment truly would have been felt down to the very creases of our society.

But no more.

"We originally intended to have this lucha libre mask as a pre-sale gift with purchase in our title," Federico Beyer, director of Mexican publisher Slang, told GamerNode. "Unfortunately, that cannot be done due to some compliance reasons in the U.S."

"It's terrible news that we won't be able to use those masks in the U.S.," Beyer continued. "But that unfortunately happened and we will certainly compensate the gamers in another way, which we are evaluating right now."
Stupid, stupid America and her "compliance Reasons."  How in the world am I supposed to lead my Luchadore Army to VICTORY now?  I promise you, El Molesto will get to the bottom of this!

You said "VCITORY" instead of "VICTORY" lol.

This is quite depressing, I want a super awesome Luchador maks. Damn America!

Where did you find that picture of Nick? That must be from when he was younger. Like maybe one month ago.

Also, this is pretty disheartening news, Sir Christ. I had read about this game, mostly thinking, "The hell? Konami is publishing this?" Then, I saw that a pre-order netted you a sweet luchador mask and almost did based on that simple fact. But no, bureaucracy pile-drives us off the top turnbuckle yet again. Sad day.

See I would have pre-ordered this game purely for the mask (to join your Luchadore Army of course), but now I have no reason to pick this game up at all

seeing this reminded me of an old cartoon i used to watch. I think it was called Mucha Lucha (I think) it was about a group of kids that went to a Lucha Libre school to become pro westlers in the libre world. It was a fun show, showing interesting costumes and "signitare moves" like turning into a buldozer, a pinball ball, or farting a stench so vile you knock your opponent out. it was just a fun series that i think was on cartoon network or started off on wbkids. Anyway....shame about the mask. I have to wonder what the reason was?

What was that anime (I think it was an anime at least) where the main character wore a lucha libre mask?

I bet this has something to do with protecting children from "strangulation hazards" or from attempting the moves in the game and hurting themselves. It wasn't too long ago where objects for child entertainment were things like lawn darts, slip and slides, and perhaps the most painful of all Lego blocks. Have you ever stepped on a Lego barefoot? Much more dangerous than anything this mask could do.
