Well not really a game per se. But Mr. Metal Gear has always loved to use the auspicious countdown in prep for just about every recent announcement they have made.  Now is no different. Kojima Productions have just opened an E3 countdown website with lots of chopping and sorts going on.

What could it mean?  Much like most other things Kojima does, I'm not sure if he would even know himself. But thats part of the fun yes? Reading along with a Kojima narrative is sort of like riding shotgun with a drunk driver down a mountain in the rain.

Wait...what?

Odd but, glad too see that there is definitely something coming from him, another thing E3 leaves me excited about.

Looking around the page there are lots of "adpsp" functions and whatnot going on. (Yes I'm a nerd, yes this is looking too much into it, no it probably isn't anything to do with a psp advert). But it's a thought.

But regardless. It's always nice to have announcements of announcements to get you pumped about announcements. >_>

I sense Metal Gear Solid: Rising. After all, Rising would focus on Raiden as the new cybernetic ninja.

I personally really hate this countdown trend of announcements TOWARDS another announcement, there can be much better ways to implement hype into a production of a new game in both inventive and puzzling ways (e.g The Portal radio frequencies or Ilovebees).

There have been some interesting speculations however, seeing the cutting to be some sort of representation for an MGS4: Directors CUT?eh...sounds plausable to me and wouldn't really suprise me. Also, before the videos of people cutting show up, there are some brushstrokes which quickly pop-up for a second and are randomly placed like puzzle pieces, someone humourously placed the pieces into an ZOE3 title: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj317/seb_054/neogaf/zoe3.jpg Its funny because it will never happen...but sad at the same time =(

It took me a while, but I've gotten 13 pieces of the puzzle, and there are 11 more that go with it. Here's what I've got so far:http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/yy311/GamerBeck/Kojima4pp.jpg (Hope links are okay). Looks like kanji to me,not sure what it is though.

I think kojima is advising us to 'get to da choppah!'

I sense a theme of 'cutting stuff' or as cockfoster stated 'get to da choppah'.
hard to say what it might be, I don't think it's metal gear RISING, because that has already been announced.

I too think this is linked to Metal Gear Solid: Rising, I mean Raiden used his sword quite a bit in MGS4 whats to stop him using it in this game? but either way it certainly seems to have caught my interest.

Kojima is obviously working on Edward Scissorhands: The Game.

I think it will be Metal Gear Solid Rising because of all the sharp utensils. I mean Raiden is supposed to be somewhat like a ninja so sharp objects only seem to fit. But wouldn't it be cool if it was not Metal Gear Solid because that is one of there MAIN games.
