A bunch of new screens have been released today for WiiWare title Pearl Harbor Trilogy: 1941 Red Sun Rising.  Honestly it looks just O.K. and its really going to come down to price on this one.  Price and control, but the latter is always the crap shoot for a lot of Wii titles.

The most interesting thing I've found about this title is not what it does, but what they didn't do.  I've put the teaser trailer below the jump and I want you to watch it. Watch it and then ask yourself why they didn't go with the cell-shaded look of the game that is shown in the first few, and last, moments of the trailer.  Those parts look amazing and it would have been great playing a WWII aerial shooter what that type of stylized look.  And honestly, its a look that the Wii really excels in. Unfortunately they ended up trying to go with a realistic look which does nothing but really exemplify the Wii's weaknesses in the graphical department.

Trailer and new screen shots after the jump.

Woah, that video surprised me, it looks quite responsive for sharp turns and such, i just hope the controls are ok, im not too fond of the wii's (or my wii's) reluctance to do as i wish.

I really hope the machine guns aren't your only weapons.

Doing this post also made me realize that we need a much better way to show galleries of pictures.

Maybe they thought the cel-shading was making light of history. Then again, making a game of it is already kind of doing that.

Like EVERY GOD DAMN SINGLE GAME that tries to "reinvent" the way the motion controller is used it will be awful controls you have to swing around like an axe while screaming about the "PIECE OF JUNK!!"

Seriously, at this point it's not even worth bothering..
