Testify! Red Dead Redemption brings us "The Law"

god its looking good,
i am trying to stifle my excitement just incase but damn

everything ive seen from it looks fantastic to me

also i predict the ending to be: you get betrayed, someone you love gets killed, you kill them and then ride of into sunset on a horse into mexico, leaving the opening for an obvious sequel

Not to bring things down but I really wish my Grandfather was still alive to see this. He was in love with Westerns and I think he would have sat for hours watching me play this.

Man, I'm really looking foward to this. Fucking free roam, bear fighting, nun shooting cowboy game!

I predict this to be my game of the year

I personally love the idea this game offers....cant wait to pick it up!!

Gonna get me into some fisticuffs action with them bears! Brawl it out. Wonder if you can lasso a bear onto a tree, then bring back some criminals/nuns for it to feast on, a nun feasting bear, or lassoing(is that even a word?) a bear onto a train. Ahh I'm getting carried away, R* does a good job of making the player f*ck around in their games and never getting anything done. The cutscenes look great as well.

This trailer further enhances my mixed feelings for the back story of the game. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Westerns and games and I LOVED RDRevolver, but this trailer sits a little funny for me.
First of all, haven't we had enough of the aspiring do-gooder cowpoke riding into town with nothing but a hardy demeanor and a loaded six-shooter being recruited by the seedy and deceitful law figure (ie. Mayor, Sheriff, etc) looking only to profit themselves; with the twist being that the law is the main bad guy pulling the strings the whole time and is the ultimate anarchist of the plot? If I'm not mistaken, this game's predecessor followed the exact same plot. I'm well aware that most law-keepers of the Wild West had to be just as corrupt and savage in their method (if not more) as the crooks they hunted down just to make an impact. I'm not saying this is a bad plot, I just hope (storyline-wise) this isn't a glorified remake of the first game.
That being said, the trailer also intrigues me because the lawmen appear to be aware of their worse halves, and also appear to be very open about the fact that they are heavy handed/corrupt/whatever. This would be a refreshing change from the lawmen archetype that lies about his motives and personality until he is exposed.
Also, the nature of the one-sided trailer makes me wonder if there is an "Outlaw" aspect of the game as well. The best case deal would be if you could choose a side and that would affect the storyline, your character's personality, and maybe other things such as weapon selection and special abilities.
I'm really looking forward to this game, but I guess you could say I'm really watching for more "Good, Bad" and less of the "Ugly" Sorry if anything in this comment has already been established and I'm just wasting space.
