Nolan hosts the show this week since Nick has fallen victim to the perils of being middle-aged. As they say though, the show must go on. Brad delivers his impressions of Monster Hunter Stories 2 (much to the dismay of Chris Davis) and the indie strategy RPG, Wildermyth. Krispy is finally far enough to deliver some juicy impressions of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers now that he's had some time with the expansion with the community! Of course, this episode was recorded mere hours after the announcement of the Valve Steam Deck so we deliver our first impressions of this bonkers announcement.

I recently started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time and wow so far it's the best movie I've ever watched (just kidding). Really though, with Nick being the cowboy expert what is some early game advice you'd give me?

I'm a bit behind but wanted to weigh in on a couple topics. First, Uncharted 3 vs. Uncharted 2. You know how you are doing a scripted sequence in a game, and you keep dying so you have to see the scripting over and over? This is my memory of Uncharted 3, I kept getting stuck in sequences that really soured me on the game. I bet I'd like it more now.
Worst thing I've found in my fridge- we forgot about a cucumber for a while, and I opened the produce drawer one day and there was just an inch of standing white liquid. It was disgusting.

Wildermyth really sounds like it has gamified those emergent moments you could find yourself in while playing games like the old X-Com or FFT, where a lot of characters where just empty units that you could make your own story for. It was thanks to your own creativity that you grew attached to what were at first blank characters. And Wildermyth sounds like a game that has a lot potential for those kind of moments.
