There is a ton to unpack but we do our best to DELIVER our thoughts and reactions to the first 15-20 hours of the game. That's not all though; Brad played through Love, Sam, speaks highly of MO Astray, and Nick continues to praise Luigi's Mansion 3 for it's impeccable design. In other news, we still find a way to make the new Sonic movie redesign into something absolutely horrifying.

I also saw Doctor Sleep and I quite enjoyed it as well. It's a shame that it isn't doing well in the box office. I think one problem that it suffers with is that the source material is a sequel to The Shining novel, and the movie is dictatorially a sequel to The Shining movie. It obviously draws cinematographic influence from Kubrick's work even though the Doctor Sleep novel is only tangentially connected to the original film. It makes some independent scenes which, in isolation, are fun homages to Kubrick's work seem a little out of place, in my opinion.

While it's not at all surprising to hear Kojima Productions is getting into movies, it's exciting nevertheless. It will be interesting to see how Kojima works with the creative aspects of film. Maybe he'll feel the medium is too restrictive, considering his signature scatter-brained style or maybe he'll learn new ways to express his ideas in a more streamlined fashion on screen. Whatever he puts out, I just hope it's weird.

I think the closest movie director equivalents to Hideo Kojima either Quentin Tarantino or Michael Bay. Both are auteurs in their own right with their own unique styles while also being weirdly indulgent at times (especially with female characters).

Also, Kojima's goal on getting people to work together with Death Stranding is damn wholesome.

Thank you Nick for keeping KotOR II in the poll, that game is remarkable. Also thanks for standing up for Blade Runner 2049 - best sci-fi movie of this millennium!

Hearing that Kojima wants to move into film is an interesting prospect. I'd watch a film of his, though I'm not sure I'd process it fully until a 3rd or 4th viewing. Also, I'm glad that Brad brought up the pokemon fanbase in his 4player minute. It's been frustrating being excited for the release of pokemon sword and shield when all people wanna talk about is how many Pokemon got removed. I get some of the frustration, but for a casual, longtime fan like myself, I've not been bothered by any of the "controversies", and instead, I've been playing a few hours of it every day with my wife since it's release, and we've both been having a lot of fun with it.

People are totally blowing the whole Pokemon thing out of proportion. However, there are others like me that feel there has been so much untapped potential for several generations now, and where other series like Zelda have redefined themselves and blown me out of the water, Pokemon has stayed exactly the same. I understand both sides of the argument and i'm not salty at all, but it is alway sad to walk away from a series you once loved.
